Women’s Hands Free Bags

A model with a black leather long strap purseI have several different purses and handbags from every size to many styles, and use them all for specific occasions. My favorite and most usedModel with a dressy black crossbody purse are the hands free styles, mainly the medium crossbody purses. The brown backpack in the first image is a purse style with many pockets.

They either have the long strap already attached, or a separate one that clips on to it that comes with the handbag. I shop for this style first which also includes waist pouches which you clip on around your waist or hips.

These bags will hold all of your belongings, while leaving you free to do more things while on the go. Having younger children can be a handful at times and wearing the crossbody style allows you to be hands on, making it easier than having a bag that can get in the way. You don’t have to worry about leaving it behind from the distractions. Whether you are at the park, or an outdoor amusement play area and have to focus on your child alone or with playmates that come along for the fun.

The hands free styles come in handy not only while shopping but for Model with a suede burgundy crossbody bagvacations, going for walks, hiking, biking, sporting events, horseback riding, to name a few. The best styles have a zipper across the top for easy access. The fold over style with the snap or buckle can get tricky to open depending on how much you have to carry. They can be placed in front of you, to your side, or more toward your back. Which ever way is comfortable for you. The freedom alone is great, and will give you the thought to have more of this style over the free hand held choices. They are mostly used while away, out of the country for short or longer trips. Safety is important while away from home.

Other hands free styles include backpack style purses that can be more formal than a regular backpack, the standard backpack or a smaller version which is less bulky. There are waist pouches that wrap around your thigh, saddle backpacks and more that come out as they evolve with what is trending.

There are many choices with different colors, fabrics, sizes and you can even make your own. I have an excellent video I chose to make your own messenger crossbody bag. You can click Making Your Own Handbag to watch this easy to follow step by step lesson. You can customize it any way you like, choose your own fabric and adjust the strap to fit your preferred length according to your height.

Click on Women’s Purses and Handbags for more information about them, to read and shop for men’s click on Men’s Bags and Accessories. The option to shop for both are to the right on my sidebar where I have several merchants listed.

Unless otherwise stated, the bags for this article I chose from various merchants for the specific style I needed to write this article.

I am absolutely a purse fanatic and I really enjoyed reading your article! The monogram Louis Vuitton’s are my all-time favorite purses… but I did enjoy reading about how you can design your own purse. My perfect purse is a hands-free style purse. If I could choose a fabric it would definitely be cheetah print!!!

Thanks so much for opening my eyes to these options! This is definitely something that I will consider in the future!

      Hello Dr. Baker,

Thank you, I love purses and handbags so much I created this website for them!

The Custom Designed Purses article was an interesting one to write about. I’ve heard of this but found there is a big market for it. The best thing is how they aren’t as expensive as we think.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing!

    Hi Patsy,
I love purses and I especially I love the crossbody style of purses and handbags. I was having some problems a while ago with my neck and was told the crossover would relieve some of the stress that purses typically cause from the weight. All of these bags are very cute and are great for using in all activities. I do think safety is extremely important and this style provides that feature. I really like the men’s bags too, my husband loves to go to the races and he is always carrying blankets, sweatshirts etc. This would be a great gift idea for him. Can’t wait to start shopping, thanks.

      Hi Dana,

I was the same having problems with my neck, it was from a fall years ago. I started to carry smaller and much lighter purses, of course they were the crossbody style.

I love the men’s bags, they have so many choices just as we do! It’s such a huge market I had no idea until I created this website. I agree with it being a great gift idea, it’s something different.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing! I hope you drop by again soon.

    Hey Patsy,
I’m in love with purses, and specially with these types of bags. I have some of them for YEARS, and they still serve the cause. But, I have to admit that my favorite ones are in black and red. 🙂
And I LOVE the Making Your Own Handbag video! It’s so creative and gave me a lot to think about.
I never thought about doing it myself, but after seeing this, I might wanna try. 😉
Thank you for some great tips!

      Hi Meena,

I love purses and handbags also, this is why I created my website. Having more than one helps them last longer, because you don’t use the same one over and over causing it to wear out.

The make your own handbag tutorial is great, that’s why I chose this one over the others. It’s easy to understand and follow. You can choose the fabric you like and embellish it with your favorite pin, broaches, rhinestones and beads. It is worth the try for sure.

You are welcome, I’m happy you stopped by and hope to see you again soon!

I completely agree with you , I am in love with this type of handbag. From using it to go to the store to go out an a few outings with friends. So I understand where you are coming from with these types of bags. They are also very cute and convenient.

      Hi Ashley,

It’s easy to throw them over your body, leaving you hands free while you do what is needed. They are practical and convenient for sure, and great for any occasion, especially for travel.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing!
